Bio: Born into a musical family in South-West London Jocelyn grew up being encouraged to pursue making and performing music in all forms. Their formative training began at an early age on the double bass but Jocelyn quickly became interested in pop, alternative and electronic music, first playing in bands and then becoming interested in music production. All of these multifarious disciplines remain in their work today.
In 2018 Jocelyn collaborated with the director Bella Riza, the conductor Toby Thatcher, the recording artist Jimi Maffei and Ensemble Eroica to produce an interdisciplinary work of music-on-film entitled ePod nano.
As a composer for the concert hall Jocelyn has worked with such ensembles and orchestras as: The Royal Northern Sinfonia, The Philharmonia Orchestra, The Lontano Ensemble, Ensemble x.y, Ensemble Eroica and Newe Vialles among others.
As a composer of music for film Jocelyn has recently worked with Julien Temple on the original scores for his feature-length documentaries Ibiza: The Silent Movie and Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane McGowan. Jocelyn has also scored short films directed by Bertie Gilbert and Theo Nunn.
Jocelyn also writes and performs solo music under the pseudonym phonewifey. Since 2018 they have released multiple projects garnering attention from publications such as Dazed and Dummy Mag as well as being a regular fixture on Spotify’s editorial playlists.
